When Vinegar Syndrome announced their March pre-orders I quickly rushed to the site to place my order like I do every month. However, I was quick on the draw and ordered the March package without looking at the stand alone Peekarama release. When the Vin Syn discord told me about it I quickly rushed back and pre-ordered it. When these releases finally arrived I was more interested in this Peekarama double feature than the other releases. After watching a few other blus I needed to review I quickly set my sights on Furies Sexuelles to watch and review.

**Spoiler Alert** The film follows a woman who loses her job but discovers that her beauty and sex appeal could help her make some money. She finds a local bar to be the best place to find Johns with other beautiful women doing the same. Here she finds the keys to pleasure and money. **Spoiler Alert**
Many years ago I was reluctant to give Vin Syn’s sexploitation flicks a shot but after watching a few I’ve found myself becoming increasingly obsessed with them. However, not all sexploitation flicks are made equal. Furies Sexuelles was an interesting premise but the execution and editing made it a bit of an underwhelming experience.
The acting in this one is what you would expect from a late 70s French sexploitation flick. The sex scenes are energetic and lively while the remainder of the scenes are a little flat and unenthused. If the entire scene had the same energy as the sex scenes then the film may have been a little more enjoyable.
The story for this one would have worked for a sexploitation flick but it uses the same plot device over and over again creating a repetitive and dull experience. We move from the bar setting to the sex scenes over and over again. We do get a few “roughie” sequences and some random scenes scattered throughout but it’s not enough to make this one stand out or break it up.
Finally, this film is full of skin, fluids, and more skin. However, if you are looking for blood then you will be very disappointed. Overall, Furies Sexuelles looks great which is exactly what I would expect from Vin Syn. However, the film is extremely boring and repetitive. I wanted to like this one but it just wasn’t for me.

Prostitution Clandestine
Director – Alain Payet (The Mark of Zorro, French Erection)
Starring – Claudine Beccarie (French Undressing, Femme Fatales), Martine Grimaud (French Nympho, Hard Love), and Tania Busselier (Wanda the Wicked Warden, Law Breakers)
Release Date – 1975
Rating – 2/5
When I was first brought on to Horror Society, almost ten years ago, I decided to shoot my shot with Vinegar Syndrome to review their releases. I was shocked when they agreed and before long I was receiving their monthly releases for review. Their horror and exploitation flicks were my main focus but in the coming months I would get several of their sexploitation flicks.
I was reluctant to check them out but once I did I found a new obsession. Since then I’ve been sure to snag every sexploitation release they’ve put out. Not all of these were great. In fact, some of them miss their marks but a majority were great. Sadly, this Alain Payet double feature just wasn’t for me. After I dug into Furies Sexuelles I was ready for Prostitution Clandestine.

**Spoiler Alert** The film follows three working girls who are known to model but if the price is right they don’t mind to work their hips for a little extra cash. **Spoiler Alert**
Most sexploitation flicks have stories set around the sex scenes. The movies are mad for sex so it’s no surprise that a lot of these films lack plot. Furies Sexuelles and Prostitution Clandestine has enough story to get to the sex scene but for movie goers looking for just a little more story than sex you will find both films to be extremely dull.
The acting in this one is high energy in the sex scenes but rather slow and bland performances during the rest of the scene. I know most people don’t expect a lot from a sexploitation or vintage porn but I have seen some fantastically acted sexploitation films over the years. The lack of enthusiasm in these scenes makes the movie extremely difficult to follow and watch.
The story for this one is rather lacking. Most sexploitation films have stories that lead to sex. However, the story for this one is sex. We move from character to character and from room to bed with no real story. Sure, we get some character development but those of you looking for the next SexWorld or Dixie Ray will be very disappointed.
Finally, the film has plenty of skin, sex, and more sex. However, if you want blood you will be in for a rude awakening. Overall, Prostitution Clandestine is a bit of a let down. The lack of story and dry acting made the film feel a lot longer than it actually was. The transfer from Vin Syn looks better than the movie actually is.
