iHeartPodcasts and Blumhouse Television today announced the launch of a new scripted, thriller podcast “The Mantawauk Caves”. The new show, which features 3D audio and gives listeners a thrilling binaural listening experience, is the third scripted series in a previously announced slate of co-produced podcasts by the two companies. The first two episodes will debut on March 22 alongside an original song, “A Killer Inside,” composed, produced and performed for “The Mantawauk Caves” podcast by Lera Lynn. New episodes will be available every Wednesday. Listeners can hear the official trailer now, here.
From writer, director and producer, Dan Bush (The Signal, The Vault, Tomorrow’s Monsters), “The Mantawauk Caves” is a 12-episode immersive audio experience that will tell the story of how two teenage boys’ remains ended up in a cave in Mantawauk County, Tennessee. The podcast will follow the story of Julien Solas, an aspiring writer, who returns home to save his friend, James Fincher, from a death sentence fourteen years after he was convicted for the gruesome murder of these two teenage boys. As Julien digs into the past, uncovering dark truths about himself and his family, he must work through his own psychosis while trying to uncover the mystery behind what happened in the caves of Mantawauk County back in May of 2007.
