I’m officially adding this one to my most anticipated upcoming movies list, even though it’s going to be at least a year before it sees the light of day. I love the Black-Eyed Children urban legend and this movie’s creator, József Gallai, is one of independent film’s brightest and most promising directors.
Earlier this week, Gallai formally announced the next title on his production slate – The Black-Eyed Children. The information came with the unveiling of the movie’s promotional poster and a promise that it was going into principal photography at some point next year. Given his track record, I certainly don’t doubt it.
As of this writing, the only confirmed cast members include Shawn Michael Clankie, Karolina Szabo and Balint Szabo. The script was penned by Gallai and Roy McClurg Jr.
Synopsis: A young woman takes a job at an autumn camp in the woods, only to arrive to find that all the children have mysteriously disappeared. But as night falls, much to her dismay, some of them return.
Look for more information on The Black-Eyed Children in the coming weeks/months.
