Clarke Wolfe’s A SHINING EXAMPLE Debuts at Fantastic Fest

Conjurer Productions is thrilled to announce the world premiere of its debut short film “A Shining Example” at this year’s Fantastic Fest, one of the world’s most renowned genre film festivals.

Directed, written, produced, and starring the multi-talented actress and host, Clarke Wolfe, “A Shining Example” takes viewers on a rollercoaster of emotions in a brief yet thrilling journey.

Aiden (Wolfe) just wants to get back to show-running and needs to write the perfect pilot, but how can anyone expect her to focus between interruptions from her dead-beat husband and their attention-seeking kid?

Wolfe’s expertise in front of and behind the camera shines brightly in this thought-provoking short, offering a fresh perspective on the challenges of balancing personal life with creative aspirations.

“After almost ten years of attending Fantastic Fest as a fan, I can announce that this year I will be attending as a filmmaker,” Wolfe said. “My short film ‘A Shining Example’ will have its World Premiere in Austin. I love this short so much and had the most incredible experience making it. I had the best crew and cast in the world (I have been spoiled as a director forever!), and I am so proud of their achievements.”

“A Shining Example” screens in front of Robert Morgan’s feature debut STOPMOTION as one of the “Shorts Paired with Features.”

FILM SYNOPSIS
After putting her lucrative writing career on hold to raise her daughter (Marnie McKendry) with little help from her husband (Andy Cohen), Aiden (Clarke Wolfe) finally has the opportunity of a lifetime to get back to work and showrun a new installment in the TV franchise that put her on the map. Up against a deadline, toxic family dynamics arise and Aiden’s frustration builds culminating in a gruesome finale.

Darkly comedic and inspired by both Stephen King’s novel and Stanley Kubrick’s film, A SHINING EXAMPLE looks at creative and familial frustration with a mother at the center of the story.
