Rising actress and influencer Avaryana Rose (Bitter Souls, the upcoming The Caretaker) has joined Hannah Fierman (V/H/S), Douglas Tait (Teen Wolf), and Vincent M. Ward (The Walking Dead) in new horror thriller Final Act. Filming is currently underway at the historic Ritz Theater and other locations in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and the first stills have been released.
Final Act concerns paranormal investigators looking into the dark past of a historic theater who find themselves stalked by a mysterious, masked pickaxe killer. Rose plays the niece of Fierman’s paranormal investigator.
The film also stars Tristan Green, Cal Tolentino, Sionne Elise, Rosie Dean, Julian Ford, Ashlyn Johnson, and Ben Stobber. Scranton’s own “Chef Von” (Ryan Von Smith) of Gordon Ramsay’s Next Level Chef makes a cameo.
An entrepreneur as well as actress and influencer, Rose is CEO of Babes Against Bullying, a platform that brings awareness to bullying.
Michael Su (Bloodthirst) directs Final Act, working from a screenplay by Rose, Green, and Brandon Slagle (Arena Wars). Producers are Rob Adkirson (Spirit Springs), Robert Savakinus (Hell House LLC: Lineage), and Jeff Miller (Popeye the Slayer Man). Executive producers are Rob Adkirson and Brandon Gibbs (The Caretaker). Consulting producer is Dylan Matlock (Mass). Associate Producer is Dennis Garrett. Jolene Marie Richardson (Cannibal Mukbang) is costume designer. Jared Sokirka (Screamboat) handles props and weapons. Jackie Hughes (Terrifier 2 & 3) handles special makeup FX.
Much of the crew previously worked on werewolf/detective thriller 12 to Midnight, also filmed largely in Pennsylvania.
“We are filming in a great old historic theater in Pennsylvania with a superb cast and making a creepy horror whodunit that we think audiences will really dig,” says Adkirson.
Final Act is a co-production between Babe Entertainment, Cannon Fire Productions, and Millman Productions.
