The cult film “Spirit Riser” has been called an “electrifying acid bath” by ScreenRant, and “a Lynchian Wild Ride” by artist Peaches Christ. Now, the film returns to NYC theaters for one night only at Tribeca’s Roxy Cinema on September 15th, with a special Q&A with Dylan Mars Greenberg following screening, moderated by musician and filmmaker Adam Green. Showing on September 15, the screening will also be attended by star Amanda Flowers.
In addition to Flowers, the star-studded cast of Spirit Riser includes acclaimed actors Amanda Flowers, Lynn Lowry, known for her role in David Cronenberg’s “Shivers,” Whitney Moore of “Satanic Panic” and “Birdemic” fame, along with the dynamic duo of Kansas Bowling and Parker Love Bowling, whos screen credits include Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”. Lloyd Kaufman, the legendary founder of Troma Entertainment, martial artist Jesse Yungbei and the iconic Cherie Currie round out this impressive ensemble. The film is also narrated by film legend Michael Madsen. The film is dedicated to cast member Alan Merrill, a legendary rock and roll musician who passed away during the film’s production in 2020.
Synopsis – Two sisters are thrown out of their isolation and onto opposite coasts of America by a terrifying cosmic entity. While one sister suffers from memory loss and the other is too young to understand her own past, the girls discover they possess supernatural powers as they are pursued by the mysterious and unearthly being hell–bent on their destruction.
