Trailer and Artwork for THE RED MASK

Create Entertainment & Intrinsic Value Films are thrilled to announce the US Premiere of The Red Mask at Screamfest on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the TCL Chinese Theatre. Following a sold-out international debut at FrightFest London, which packed the 790-seat Odeon Luxe Leicester Square and drew rave reviews from critics, this nostalgic yet razor-sharp meta-slasher comes to Los Angeles with significant buzz, setting the stage for aggressive global sales and wide distribution.

Directed by Ritesh Gupta (2 Emmy nominations, 9 Cannes Lions), The Red Mask stars Helena Howard (Madeline’s Madeline, The Wilds), Inanna Sarkis (After We Collided, Seance), Jake Abel (The Lovely Bones, Percy Jackson), and Kelli Garner (The Aviator, Lars and the Real Girl). The film was produced by Atit Shah (Remember Me, Adventure Tom), Aimee Schoof & Isen Robbins (Queen of the Ring, Guns and Moses).

“The Red Mask is both a love letter and a reinvention. It thrills hardcore horror fans but is crafted to break out with a wider audience. The buzz from FrightFest showed us this film can travel, and we’re ready to partner with distributors who want the next crossover genre success,” said Shah.

“As a director you never know how your film will be received when you make your very first public showing. But the reception at FrightFest blew me away. To hear the cheers and roars with some of our final kills was beyond my wildest expectations. With ScreamFest, this is a special showing for me. When other productions were fleeing LA chasing tax credits in other states, we ran towards the city to work with our friends in the business in order to support the film community of Los Angeles. So, to be able to have your U.S. Premiere not only be in LA but be at Screamfest in the Chinese Theater is an ultra-special moment for me. I can’t wait to experience the film with this audience,” said Gupta.

When Allina Green, a rising indie screenwriter, is hired to revive a cult ’80s slasher, she and her fiancée Deetz retreat to a remote cabin for inspiration. But as Allina’s screenplay begins to rewrite itself and two masked strangers appear, their weekend spirals into a terrifying showdown where homage, horror, and reality bleed together.
A home invasion thriller with a postmodern edge, The Red Mask is both a love letter to slashers and a sharp dissection of toxic fandom, identity, and legacy.

With its sold-out London premiere, glowing four-star reviews, and social media traction, The Red Mask enters the U.S. market already tested and proven. Its built-in promotional engine includes top horror and mainstream influencers with a collective reach of 20+ million followers, alongside Inanna Sarkis’ 18 million Instagram fans, giving distributors a turnkey marketing advantage.

Early reviews from outlets including SciFiNow, The Hollywood News, and FilmHounds have given the film multiple four stars ratings and pesticide reviews, reinforcing its crossover potential with both genre enthusiasts and mainstream audiences.

As the team prepares for its Screamfest debut, The Red Mask enters the sales market with momentum, credibility, and an undeniable hook for distributors looking for their next genre success.

We’re beyond excited for The Red Mask’s US Premiere at Screamfest,” said Aimee Schoof of Intrinsic Value Films. “The buzz we generated at FrightFest has already set the tone for the film’s next chapter. This is one we believe can connect broadly while thrilling the core genre crowd.”
