Just in time for Halloween, Writer/Director Andrew Jara (The Empty Space) new short, The Monster, releases on his Jara Films Youtube Channel from Nothing Ventured Media and IShape Productions!
Inspired by Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, The Monster, attempts to answer the age old question, Was the monster named Frankenstein or not?
After a successful festival run that included Las Cruces Film Festival, Seattle’s Crypicton, and a nomination for Best Horror Short at the Chicago International Film Festival, The Monster is finally available on the Jara films Youtube Channel! Check it out and find out who really was the Monster in Mary Shelley’s Classic Tale!
“I wanted to pay homage to the classic Franksenstein story while also answering a debate that I think is a bit silly,” Director Jara said. “I just hope this gets more people to revisit the classic tale and decide for themselves whether it was the doctor or the monster that was the true horror.”
Produced by Jara’s Nothing Ventured Media and Ishape Productions, The Monster stars Maura Moreno, Gayla Lacy and Jeffery McKnight and was filmed on location in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
