It’s been 25 years since the first campers met their untimely end at Camp Blackwood in the original CAMP BLOOD movie. Now, Future Video has partnered with the original franchise producer David Sterling of Sterling Entertainment for the upcoming spinoff movie CAMP BLOOD CHRISTMAS in time to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this long-running indie horror series.
In CAMP BLOOD CHRISTMAS, the infamous Camp Blackwood has a new owner intent on leaving its murderous history behind by turning it into a Christmas attraction for families. As new employees start showing up they learn the killer clown of Camp Blood may not be ready to be forgotten.
Filmed in Cleveland and North Canton, Ohio, CAMP BLOOD CHRISTMAS marks the feature writing/ directing debut of Matthew Dilts-Williams and is the first feature length production by US distributor Future Video.
“I remember renting Camp Blood from my local Hollywood Video many years ago and thinking it had to have been made by someone with a passion for horror movies. Never did I imagine I would fulfill a lifelong ambition to write and direct a movie by creating the newest entry in the franchise, but it feels appropriate. It’s been a dream having the freedom to put my stamp on the franchise and make a Christmas slasher to entertain audiences for many holiday seasons to come,” Dilts-Williams says.
CAMP BLOOD CHRISTMAS will have a world premiere screening at the historic Capitol Theatre (1390 W 65th St., Cleveland, OH 44102) on Saturday, October 25th. The movie will be available on home video in a collectible red & green VHS release starting November 11th and on Blu-Ray November 18th. Both releases are available for pre-order now at https://future-video.tv.
