Nightfall Pictures is proud to reveal the first poster, teaser trailer and festival dates for their new movie TRANSYLVANIA TAPES.
Filmed entirely on location in Romania, TRANSYLVANIA TAPES is a unique mix of found footage and Eurohorror directed by award-winning filmmaker Brad Sykes (CAMP BLOOD, GOTH, PLAGUERS) and produced by Josephina Sykes (HI-8, WITHIN THE WOODS, MUTATION). The film stars newcomer Valeria Badiuc and iconic Romanian actors Ion Haiduc (SUBSPECIES 2-4, TRANCERS 4 and 5) and Gabriel Spahiu (HIGH TENSION, RADU JUDE’S DRACULA).
TRANSYLVANIA TAPES follows Mara Enescu, a young woman in her 30s who travels from Los Angeles to her home country of Romania to discover the truth about her mother’s disappearance in Transylvania years ago. Together with a cameraman friend, Mara journeys from Bucharest to the birthplace of Dracula himself.
TRANSYLVANIA TAPES will have its World Premiere at the Horror-on-Sea Film Festival on June 6 in the UK. The film will also have its Pittsburgh premiere at GrossFest (July 31-Aug.1) and an Oklahoma premiere at the Red Fern Reaper Film Festival on Oct. 17, with more announcements to follow.
