The Spanish studio Vercors Games is happy to unveil the first images of Tuned In, their first engaging, ever-shifting anthology of nightmares made into a videogame, now available on Steam to wishlist.
The creative spark for the game came from a childhood memory: manually hunting for channels on old television sets, turning a small dial on the back of the device to tune in a signal, never knowing what image might flicker into view. Each story draws from a different horror sub-genre, giving it its own distinct identity, from the gritty, heavy-ink shadows of a slasher to the muted, grainy textures of atmospheric folk horror, all brought to life through a striking, visceral graphic novel aesthetic.
Trapped by a dark entity inside a cursed television broadcast, players must survive its sinister lineup of puzzles, layered with multiple shades of horror, and face impossible decisions. They will encounter or impersonate other survivors through a branching story where their mastery of an old TV’s controls determines who escapes to freedom. All the while, reality and television signals bleed into one another.
Those who sign up now for the upcoming Kickstarter campaign will receive exclusive access to the free prologue of the game, which will be available very shortly. Tuned In is set to launch on Steam and Steam Deck in 2027.
