TERROR FILMS RELEASING has teamed up with writer/director Tristan Reed to bring his found footage slasher, “The Depths”, to streaming platforms worldwide.
Starring Isabella Bonanno, Ryan Yauger, and Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight, Inherent Vice), The Depths follows a brother and sister who achieve astral projection, capturing footage that reveals the malicious effects of their family trauma.
Reed had this to say about the making of the film:
“The found footage landscape has always been an interesting space that I’ve wanted to navigate. I’m always absorbing inspiration from found footage classics to craft unsettling atmospheres, but I’m also influenced by the chaos of iconic slasher films. My first feature film, The Depths, is a combination of atmospheric POV terror and wacky slasher tropes, with a hint of modern analog horror. I have a priority as a filmmaker to combine brutality with plenty of heart but wanted to make a feature from an unhinged perspective that combines different elements of the horror genre. The Depths is a product of everything I find ‘scary good,’ and a presentation on how narrative-led found footage can take on a mind of its own.”
TFR will premiere The Depths across multiple platforms on September 18th, 2026, including Tubi, Chilling, TheRoku Channel, Fandango at Home, and more. Check out the official poster and trailer below.
