This Halloween, the ultimate holiday horror crossover arrives on screen as the acclaimed indie slasher Axes and O’s officially slashes its way onto Tubi. Delivering 78 minutes of high-octane terror, the pulse-pounding American nightmare combines classic campfire slasher elements with a jarring, supernatural twist that breathes fresh blood into the genre just in time for the spookiest night of the year.
Written and directed by filmmaker Trent Duncan, Axes and O’s follows four best friends who escape to a secluded small town for a carefree Galentine’s Day weekend getaway. The celebration quickly turns into a battle for survival when they cross paths with Luther Dremel, the region’s legendary Valentine’s Day ax murderer. As the body count rises and the girls are systematically hunted through the woods, the traditional survival dynamic shatters. In a shocking third-act evolution, Olivia undergoes a chilling, otherworldly transformation, setting the stage for an explosive, supernatural showdown with the infamous Axeman.
The film anchors its intensity on a powerhouse lead performance by celebrated horror veteran Jamie Bernadette (I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu
, The 6th Friend). Long recognized as one of the industry’s most compelling and resilient genre stars, Bernadette delivers a fierce, emotionally charged performance that elevates the film from a traditional body-count tracker into a gripping fight for survival.
Rounding out the talented ensemble cast are Cass Huckabay, Madison M. Bowman, Sara Wimmer, and Brandon Krum, who together craft an authentic, high-stakes dynamic that keeps audiences guessing until the final frame.
Distributed nationwide, Axes and O’s is the perfect addition to your October horror marathon, balancing brutal action choreography with an unexpected supernatural mythos.
Lock your doors, grab your popcorn, and prepare for a holiday horror story like no other. Axes and O’s is now streaming completely free on Tubi.
