FULL METAL SASQUATCH from Filmmaker John Migliore

An unstoppable, cybernetic super-Sasquatch fights off a deadly alien army that is preparing to invade Earth!

Full Metal Sasquatch is an anything-goes collision of Bigfoot adventure, science fiction, superhero action, martial arts, and giant-monster mayhem from writer-director John Migliore. Deep in the wilderness, scientists Austin and Jayne have devoted themselves to studying and protecting Sam, a friendly Sasquatch living far from civilization. Their unusual relationship takes a devastating turn when Sam is brutally wounded and left for dead, forcing the scientists to attempt a radical experiment if they have any hope of saving him.

Fortunately, Austin and Jayne possess technology recovered from a crashed UFO. Using the extraterrestrial hardware, they rebuild Sam as an enormously powerful cybernetic super-Sasquatch equipped with super strength, laser-powered weaponry, and martial arts abilities. The transformation comes just in time: a deadly alien army is preparing to invade Earth, and the extraterrestrials have a gigantic monster of their own ready to unleash. Suddenly, humanity’s last line of defense isn’t a conventional military force or costumed superhero, but a technologically enhanced Bigfoot prepared to take the fight directly to the invaders.

Writer-director John Migliore has spent years carving out his own corner of independent genre filmmaking with cult oddities including Creature from Cannibal Creek, Dinogeist, Poltergeist

Encounters, and Ouija Shark 2. With Full Metal Sasquatch, Migliore brings that same DIY, anything-is- possible sensibility to an especially ambitious genre mash-up, combining the mythology of Sasquatch

movies with UFO conspiracies, cyborg science fiction, alien-invasion spectacles, superhero combat, and classic kaiju cinema. Migliore also designed the film’s creatures, with special effects by Survival Zombie FX and an original score and songs by Mike Trebilcock.

The film’s unabashed enthusiasm for cult cinema extends to an appearance by Troma legend Lloyd Kaufman as himself, with Toxie also represented in the cast. Migliore himself has longstanding ties to independent genre filmmaking as both director and performer, with acting credits that include George A. Romero’s Survival of the Dead, Return to Nuke ‘Em High: Volume 1, Ouija Shark, and Raiders of the Lost Shark. Those influences feed directly into a production designed for audiences who appreciate the handmade monsters, outsized concepts, and gleeful excess of low-budget cult filmmaking.

Mixing elements reminiscent of RoboCop, The Toxic Avenger, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and Godzilla with the eccentric traditions of independent Bigfoot cinema, Full Metal Sasquatch packs Sasquatch, cyborgs, UFOs, alien invaders, giant monsters, lasers, martial arts, and superhero action into one deliberately outrageous creature feature. This Wild Eye Releasing DVD also includes a director’s commentary, outtakes and bloopers, an image gallery, an interview with Mitch Markowitz, and trailers.
