Who’s going to sing the zombies away now that Beth Greene will be absent from the hit AMC series, “The Walking Dead?” I know some of you are still reeling from her death in last year’s mid-season finale. The show returns for its sixth season on October 11, the first without Emily Kinney since season two, and as they say – the show must go on.
As the show continues forward, Kinney is pushing forward with her career in the entertainment industry, especially as a singer. On October 2, the actress who recently appeared in episodes of “The Flash” and “Masters of Sex” released her first full length album, ‘This Is War,’ via Kinney’s independent label and BMI.
The album, comprised of ten original tracks, is categorized under pop-rock, however ‘This Is War’ definitely follows Kinney’s unique folk-blues style that makes her stand out from other young singers. Fans of her previous EP, ‘Expired Love,’ won’t be let down with her latest effort. Although, her last single, ‘Rock Star,’ is absent from the disc.
Currently, ‘This Is War,’ is charting at #8 on the iTunes Singer/Song Writer Chart and at #1,755 on the Amazon Music Rock Chart. I think the reason it is charting so low is because fans are unaware that the album is available to the public.
