Los Angeles, California – Heather Monk is set to direct this horror film written by her and her husband, Josh Monk. The film is titled Survive The Night and their story takes a different look at the slasher sub-genre. The film takes place at a fictitious, extreme overnight horror camp out by the same name.
Survive The Night is being produced under the couples fledgling Monk Productions, with the help of an Indiegogo campaign, offering some amazing perks for any level of contribution that all go toward production costs. “We think the setting of Survive The Night is going to bring an incredible twist to a classic sub-genre of horror. By building the entire world of Survive The Night as the country’s most intense horror experience, it’s going to give our audience twice as many scares, and keep them guessing when our characters are in real danger,” says Josh Monk. Heather Monk added: “Another nice thing about the setting of this film is it allowed us to have elements of humor without having our characters come across as unrealistic, because not every character realizes they’re in danger at the same time.”
