(Short Film) Charlie Bentley’s Scratches in the Dark

Everyone loves 4K and cat movies!

In the dark of the night, a young woman heads to her bedroom, her only companion is her beloved cat. The night is still, they are alone with only the sounds of claws scratching on wood.

I’m so happy to share this short film with the readers as HorrorSociety.com. If I’m honest, this situation happened to my roommate and I several times during our freshman year of college. Though our encounter was real – at least in our minds – I’m glad to see someone has taken a similar concept and brought it to screen. It’s like seeing one of my own nightmares come to life!

Scratches in the Dark is written and directed by Charlie Bentley with assistant director Luke White and director of photography Ed White. Robert Bentley executively produced and David Edwards edited the short with music from Richard Morson.
