Just in time for Halloween, the trailer for the high body count indie slasher The Slasher Nurse has dropped online. Blood and mayhem is in store when a deranged mental patient dawns a blood-soaked nurse outfit as she burns, saws, hacks and drills her way through her victims in this upcoming horror movie The Slasher Nurse, a female masked slasher from the creators of Bloody Summer Camp.
Director David Kerr‘s The Slasher Nurse comes from Slasher 15 Productions with the film promising a high body count with the gore being 100% practical FX. Slasher 15 has been praised for their effects in the past with Film Threat stating “unbelievably stunning effects that even major studio releases wish they could rival.”
The cast of The Slasher Nurse includes some familiar faces including Diana Prince (The Last Drive In), Brian Bremer (Pumpkinhead / Society), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp / Terrifier 2), Beverly Randolph (Return of the Living Dead) and Jim Krut (Dawn of the Dead).
The film synopsis, “After a prank by a group of teens goes wrong leaving one person dead, a young girl named Piper is locked away in a psychiatric hospital. 20 years later, the group of teens have grown up and moved on with their lives and all but one of them have put the traumatic experience behind them. The friends gather for a weekend getaway at a cabin in the woods unaware that Piper has escaped from the hospital and is hellbent on revenge.
“While two detectives try to track Piper down and stop the bloodshed, the clock is ticking as the group of friends are picked off one by one in gruesome fashion.”
