Performed and written by underground hip-hop legend Abstract Rude, with production by Ryan King, the track brings a haunting, immersive energy that perfectly complements the film’s eerie and surreal atmosphere. The music video itself mirrors the film’s themes of blurred reality, following a homeless man in Los Angeles who falls asleep on the subway—only to dream up a violent, blood-soaked adventure (Pancake Man). But when he wakes up, he finds himself back where he started, revealing that he may have never left.
This eerie cycle of reality and nightmare is at the heart of Pancake Man, the latest horror-thriller from writer-director Bron Theron (Half Dead Fred). The film follows Jerry, a man pushed to his breaking point after being denied his favorite breakfast dish. What begins as a moment of frustration escalates into a violent killing spree, setting off a deadly chain reaction involving a mob boss’s son and a local gang’s robbery. Dubbed “The Pancake Man” by the press, Jerry’s rampage unfolds in a gripping mix of horror, action, and dark humor.
Starring Jordan Christopher Michael (The Favor), Mike Ferguson (Bloodline), and Elissa Dowling (Girl on the Third Floor), Pancake Man is currently playing in theaters, with an upcoming screening below and more to be announced!
