AURA ENTERTAINMENT ACQUIRES JUSTIN LONG AND KATE BOSWORTH’S HORROR COMEDY, COYOTES

AURA ENTERTAINMENT has acquired the horror comedy Coyotes, starring off-screen couple Justin Long (Barbarian) and Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns), ahead of its world premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 20. Coyotes marks the latest collaboration between Long and Bosworth, following 2022’s Barbarian and House of Darkness. The film will open in theaters across the U.S. on October 3.

Directed by Colin Minihan (Grave Encounters) and written by Tad Daggerhart (The Expendables 4) and Nick Simon (The Pyramid), the film follows a family trapped in their Hollywood Hills home who must fight for survival as a pack of savage coyotes closes in.

Long and Bosworth lead a cast that includes Mila Harris (Mary), Brittany Allen (Dexter: Original Sin), Katherine McNamara (Shadowhunters), and Norbert Leo Butz (A Complete Unknown).

The film was financed by Capstone Studios, and is produced by Nathan Klingher, Joshua Harris, Ford Corbett (Gramercy Park) and Jib Polhemus (source | m+p). Capstone Studio’s Christian Mercuri, David Haring, Roman Viaris and Ruzanna Kegeyan, Jason Carpenter, James Harris (Tea Shop), Adam Mirels, Robbie Mirels, Tyler Gould, Michael Sklut, Jijo Reed, John Polequin, Nick Simon, and Tad Daggerhart are executive producers, alongside Long and Bosworth.

“Coyotes is an elevated, nuanced horror comedy with an unsettling atmosphere,” said Marc Goldberg, CEO of AURA ENTERTAINMENT. “Led by Justin Long and Kate Bosworth, Coyotes is an unforgettable film that will be on every moviegoer’s mind this fall. At AURA, these are exactly the types of films we bring to audiences worldwide – bold, genre-savvy, and creatively unabashed.”

Coyotes joins AURA’s dynamic 2025 slate, which includes the buddy comedy Code 3 with Rainn Wilson, Lil Rel Howery, and Aimee Carrero (releasing September 12), the sex-education comedy Doin’ It starring Lilly Singh (releasing September 19), the high-octane action film Trap House starring Dave Bautista (releasing November 14), and the heartfelt family film K-Pops! with Anderson .Paak (releasing January 2026).
