DESKPOP ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES THE VOD RELEASE OF SOUTHERN GOTHIC THRILLER ‘SOUL CHAPEL’

A drifter’s search for Kentucky gold turns into a nightmare in this atmospheric descent into madness, arriving on digital platforms April 7, 2026.

Deskpop Entertainment is proud to announce the April 7, 2026, VOD release of SOUL CHAPEL, a haunting new thriller produced by MTS Pictures. Directed by Jake C. Young and written by David Daring, the film takes audiences deep into the unforgiving backwoods of Kentucky, where greed and isolation collide with the supernatural.

When a desperate drifter (Andrew Pierson) ventures through the Kentucky wilderness in pursuit of a legendary gold cache, a sudden, blinding snowstorm forces him to seek refuge in a remote, weathered sanctuary known as Soul’s Chapel. What begins as a fight for survival against the elements quickly transforms into a struggle for his very soul. As the night unfolds, he discovers that the chapel’s history is stained with blood, and the fate awaiting him within its walls is anything but holy.

“Soul Chapel is more than a survival story; it’s a gritty, atmospheric exploration of isolation and the dark corners of the human psyche,” says director Jake C. Young. “We wanted to capture the raw, cold beauty of Kentucky while delivering a tension that feels both claustrophobic and eternal.”

The film features a powerhouse ensemble cast, including Andrew Pierson (The Devil’s Tree), Brian Bremer (Pumpkinhead), and Niko El Santo Zavero.

SOUL CHAPEL will be available for purchase and rental on all major VOD platforms, including Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Google Play, beginning April 7, 2026.
