Meet Veronica LeMorte: A New Horror Character Debuting Through Song Cinema

Artist Samantha Harlow has created a new horror character, Veronica LeMorte—a dreamy lounge singer who is murdered and resurrected by her mad scientist husband—and introduced her through an episodic short film series built around an original EP. We are releasing a new single, “Ready to Run” on April 22nd.

Rather than traditional music videos, the project unfolds as a “Song Cinema” collection: eight interconnected horror shorts that blend camp, humor, and emotional depth, following Veronica’s transformation from woman to monster. Think retro aesthetics inspired by Ed Wood and Mel Brooks, paired with practical effects and a narrative that leans as much into vulnerability as it does genre.

Sonically, the EP (By A Thread, produced by Dex Green) draws from 60s girl groups like The Ronettes and Nancy Sinatra, creating a striking contrast with the horror visuals and character arc.
