Have you ever been browsing through television channels late at night and “accidentally” stumbled upon one of those cheesy, comedy, soft-porn spoof movies? To each their own, but if you actually enjoy those kind of films then I think you’ll enjoy Bloodlust Zombies. It’s kind of 1/3 horror, 1/3 comedy, and 1/3 bad “Skinemax” movie. This was probably done purposely since one of the lead roles in the film is played by porn star Alexis Texas (who has done almost 250 adult films, by the way). So, anyone who enjoys bad porn spoofs like Spiderbabe, Lord of The G-String, and Edward Penishands will enjoy this film; but on the flip side, I doubt anyone else will…
In Bloodlust Zombies, a “military” weapons manufacturing company has an accident in one of their labs that causes the whole building to go in to lockdown. The workers and staff are all trapped inside the building with the leaked “chemical,” which turns people into “zombies.” Yes, because this plot hasn’t been done before and then had four or five sequels. They should have just called this Sexident Evil.
I’m really not sure how to continue forward at this point. Everything was pretty laughable, and not in a good way.
In my brief summary above, I put a few words in quotations. “Military” is in quotes because there is never any sort of military protocol, language, uniform, etc that appears in Bloodlust Zombies. “Chemical” is in quotes because it should be more of a virus than a chemical being that it was produced through blood.” Zombies” is in quotes because most of the marketing involved with the film calls them crazed killers or blood lusters and never really refers to them as zombies. Look above, the movie poster even calls them mutants. So what are they? The attackers in 28 Weeks Later weren’t zombies, just those affected by the rage virus. These facts alone already demonstrate that the film is riddled with plot holes and the script didn’t transfer well over to film…at all.
The acting is just all sorts of terrible. There wasn’t one person that I was impressed with. It was almost like they just picked names out of a hat that consisted of 40-year-old men and women who did one play in drama club back in High School. The special effects weren’t good at all, but I can’t really blame them seeing how the production budget for Bloodlust Zombies was only $75,000. The production value of the film is even worse than the acting. It was kind of weird to watch.
I wouldn’t recommend this movie to anyone. Really, do not go out and buy it. Save your money for real porn or a real horror film, which Bloodlust Zombies isn’t either of the two. Let’s just let this film fade away and never speak of it again, please.
