FOUND TV has acquired exclusive streaming rights to the award-winning Italian found footage horror film Watchful Eyes in the United States, Canada and Italy. The supernatural thriller will make its streaming premiere on the platform August 7, 2026.
Directed by Gianluca Lasaracina and produced by Lightless Productions, Watchful Eyes arrives on FOUND following a run at European film festivals. The acquisition marks the latest international title to join the streaming service’s growing collection of found footage, screenlife, mockumentary and POV horror.
The film follows Sebastian, a man attempting to rebuild his life after the loss of his daughter and his job. He accepts a one-week position as a janitor at a university, where he is instructed to observe five students suspected of being connected to the unexplained death of Professor Vicario.
What initially appears to be a straightforward assignment becomes increasingly disturbing when Sebastian discovers that the professor’s death may be connected to a ghost story that has haunted the campus for years.
“One of the most rewarding parts of building FOUND has been discovering filmmakers from around the world who are finding new ways to work within the found footage format,” said Louie La Vella, co-founder of FOUND TV. “Watchful Eyes has a strong atmosphere, an intriguing mystery and a distinctly European approach to supernatural horror. It is exactly the kind of film we want our audience to discover.”
Watchful Eyes was written by Gianluca Lasaracina, Riccardo Silli and Filippo Tancredi. “Watchful Eyes is a ghost story—not about the ones that haunt houses, but about the ones we carry within us: the shadows of guilt, the silent presence of remorse, and the voices of those we failed to protect.” Gianluca adds.
The film will be available exclusively on FOUND beginning August 7 in the United States, Canada and Italy.
