It’s Halloween season in New England and in the town of Agawam, Massachusetts, things are about to get scary. The highly-anticipated scarecrow slasher, BLOOD HARVEST: NIGHT OF THE SCARECROWS is having a one night only premiere at the Agawam Cinemas on October 24th, 2026, at 7 PM. Tickets just went on sale and the cast and crew will be there for Q&A upon its conclusion.
Western Massachusetts filmmaker, Geno McGahee, has stated that he is “eager to show this film. I have worked very hard with my team to make this an intense horror experience with a high death count.” There is no doubt that this is a throwback film, resembling the style of the 80s, with some nods to the FRIDAY THE 13TH series. Other films that McGahee points to when describing this film are the 1988 SCARECROWS and underrated slasher hit, MADMAN.
The film surrounds the small town of Adams and a town curse that brings scarecrows to life and hungry for blood. McGahee is no stranger to the scarecrow genre, but insists that BLOOD HARVEST: NIGHT OF THE SCARECROWS will be something totally new for the viewing audience. The film will be shown big screen and then make its way onto the popular streaming networks like Tubi, Amazon Prime, Fawesome and many more.
Agawam Cinemas on 866 Suffield Street in Agawam Massachusetts, has become the home to a lot of local talent, from musicians to comedians to filmmakers, making their cinema a standout in the community. It has become the home to Xposse Productions with BLOOD HARVEST: NIGHT OF THE SCARECROWS becoming its second film from the company to premiere. The first was the viral TUBI hit, DARK PLACES.
BLOOD HARVEST: NIGHT OF THE SCARECROWS will be released worldwide by Cinema Epoch and Cineridge Entertainment and features great performances by Eric Michaelian as Mitch, Lorrie Bacon as Stacy, Brent Northup as Ben and Sharon Marr as Sharon.
