Want to know something great about the D.C. Independent Film Festival? It’s a superb and renowned film festival without discrimination towards certain genres. All films can be submitted, even animations but excluding “adult” films. And really, who wouldn’t want to see their film screening in our nation’s capital?
Last year, director Vince Brando won a “Best Short Film Award” for his zombie-comedy, Zombie Bohemia. It looks like the award-winning director has been notified about the lack of horror entries in the festival and Brando is trying to get the word out. Short films, feature-length, documentaries, whatever – as long as it’s horror, submit it! Here’s a message from the creator of Zombie Bohemia, Vince says:
“Hey friends! Guess who is in charge of the 2013 DC Independent Film Festivals Horror Show? Me… After winning best short last year for Zombie Bohemia they brought me into the mix and I am happy to accept. Anyway, Film Makers, I NEED YOUR HORROR FILMS! The deadline is December 1st. Please submit ASAP and write HORROR on your DVD. DCIFF was a great experience for me as a Director and for the rest of our crew and is way worth your time! Thanks!”
Submissions are open from now until December 1, 2012. The D.C. Independent Film Festival makes an important note that they are looking for premieres, first showings of all great films. If you haven’t had an opportunity to premiere your film in a huge venue, now is your chance. There is a small submission fee to enter your film.
