1991 – Ben Chapman (no not the Creature one), who was production manager for the films “Invaders From Mars,” “The Giant Gila Monster” and “The Killer Shrews,” passed away on at the age of 82.
1991 – James Franciscus, who appeared in “Beneath the Planet of the Apes,” “The Valley of Gwangi” and “Killer Fish,” also passed away at the age of 57.
1976 – Disney animator Harvey Toombs, who also worked on the 1967 “Spider-Man” cartoon series, passed away at the age of 67.
1973 – Gene L. Coon who was writer/producer for the original “Star Trek” series, passed away at the age of 49.
