Possibly the last entry in today’s Where Are They Now? Friday the 13th series. Martin Cummings was born in November of 1969 in British Columbia, Canada. His first noteworthy credit is actually his supporting role of Wayne in the 1989 sequel Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan. Wayne is first seen in the Rob Hedden flick after being rejected by the graduating class’ bad girl Tamara. He is not really a part of the central focus again until later in the movie when the class aboard the SS Lazarus discover that Jason Voorhees is killing every on the ship. When he comes face-to-face with the unbeatable killer, he is easily tossed into an electrical box which electrocutes him to death, his body bursting into flames after.
With this achievement in one of the most popular horror franchises of all time under his belt, Martin started booking lots of roles in major motion pictures and on television series. His movie credits include a small part in Omen 4: The Awakening (1991), a cameo in The Substitute (1993), scifi-romance Cyberteens in Love (1994), and a supporting role in T.R.A.X. in 2000. His television career became more successful, with guest spots on “21 Jump Street” in 1989, “Highlander” in 1994, “The Outer Limits” in 2000, and a recurring role as Nick in “Poltergeist: The Legacy.”
