While the storyline is so far, closely guarded, the studio behind Beyond Flesh and Blood – a Manchester, UK set game – released similar-to-build concept art revealing a lead character that is extremely influential to the full plot.
So far known as ‘The Blood King’ which is a working title, the character plays a significant part with the main mech character in the ruins contained within the game’s storyworld based on an architecturally accurate, but sci-fi vision of a dystopian Manchester.
The reasons behind the studio nickname ‘The Blood King’ is unknown, but he is a high-ranking Sergeant within soldier faction, the UGR. The close-to-build concept art was crafted by Lead Concept Artist Steven’ Dizz’ DeSykes, who’s AAA background has seen him recognized by Concept Art World and the local community.
The team behind #BFBGame include cult game developers Philip Muwanga and Lee Blacklock.
Phil said: “We call him Sarge at the moment…he is essentially a good character, but battle hardened and weary, however he is a formidable soldier.”
“He is very important to the gameworld, a figure of authority and force.”
The team is not yet commenting on the full details around early-access or further story development, due to a potential plot twist spoiler.
Pixelbomb Games have kept their demo on the game’s website, https://www.b-fb.net. The free demo provides hands-on access to a full hour of the horror/sci-fi crossover game.
