I would like to thank everyone who came out for B-Movie Madness on Jan.17th at the Portage Theater! It was a success and I had loads of fun. We even had one horror fan that dressed up in costume and make-up as a zombie! Thank you Colleen Jones for being the only one that dressed up to receive the discount on admission into B-Movie Madness.

I really enjoyed talking with the vendors about horror film and looking over the really cool items that were being sold. I enjoyed talking to director/writer/producer David Schmidt about the concept behind his horror-film, House of Black Wings, a “character-driven Lovecraftian ghost story” whose trailer was viewed by all that attended the fest. Please check out www.swordandcloak.com for further details.

Jon Kitley of Kitley’s Krypt, as always, is a plethora of information on horror and sci-fi films and it was extremely awesome to chat with him on topics of horror and everything else to do with the genre. One day I would love to peruse through his bookshelves and check out all his horror reference books. (Hint… Hint… Jon!!!) I waited too long and was thinking of purchasing a Spanish Kingdom of the Spiders lobby poster and someone beat me to it! Damn you, BK!

Artist, writer, and self-publisher Brian Defferding was at his table promoting his comic-book, School: A Ghost Story, and the artwork was so appealing to me that I had to buy the four issues that he was selling and felt they were quite a steal! I also was very keen on the matted artwork he had for sale that depicted scenes from the comic book. I have read the 4-issues and will be following up with a review and possibly an interview if one is granted to me. One can check out more of Brian’s work at his website, www.deftoons.com.

Some deliciously devilish and uber-creepy stuffed animals with china doll faces were on hand and for sale from DollfacedHorrors. Designer and creator Georgia Alderson was there to sell her very cool creations. I had to buy the bloodiest one there for someone very special.

This next photo may scare you just a bit! The wonderful administrator of Horror-Society, Mitch Wells, Jon Kitley, and myself. We are quite a force to be reckoned with, indeed!

Kirsten was on-hand selling some really cool photos that she took and turned them into some killer magnets. Again, someone (BK) bought the ones that I wanted. Damn, that man is fast! Stealthy like a ninja!!

The infamous BK in his most flattering moment! I hope he doesn’t kill me for posting this hilarious photo of him up here!

The trailer for The Landlord was screened at B-Movie Madness and the director (Emile Hyde) and producer (Dan Kiggins) were on hand for the night’s festivities!

Go check out the website for The Landlord

I'm sooo gangsta! The B-Movie night was a super smash! Yay!!!
Everyone looks hard except for me… thumbs up dude!
