Jackie Earle Haley has been cast as the new Freddy Krueger in the re-launch of Nightmare on Elm Street by New Line and Platinum Dunes.

Jackie Earle Haley recently starred in THE WATCHMEN as Walter Kovacs aka Rorschach. His acting career spans over 35 years including many television and movie roles.

He’ll will next be seen starring with Leonardo DiCaprio in Phoenix Pictures’ “Shutter Island,” directed by Martin Scorsese.
