DJ PERRY HAS AN AXE TO GRIND!
On May 5th Lono Entertainment http://lonoentertainment.com/ will release a Special Edition of “The 8th Plague” to DVD. The new cut will feature a making of and commentary with director Franklin Guerrero and writer/producer Eric Williford.
STORY SUMMARY:
Launa is obsessed with investigating the disappearance of her sister who has not returned from a recent camping trip in the mountain town of Halcyon Springs. The search leads to an abandoned prison where Launa and her friends are exposed to an ancient evil that the stonewalls of Halcyon Ridge can no longer hold back.
Relentless terror, gore, and bone-chilling thrills are unleashed on anyone whose soul is exposed to this demonic curse. The 8th Plague Special Edition is an exercise in horror that will challenge anyone to…not look away!
HAUNTED MICHIGAN
Star DJ Perry, a Michigan resident hailing from the home state of such horror royalty as Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert and Bruce Campbell, got his start in campy horror flicks such as “In the Woods,” “Knight Chills,” and “From Venus,” before moving into other genres. He had vowed to make a GORE show stopper for the fans. DJ’s own production company Collective Development Inc. www.cdiproductions.com has moved on to film in other genres such as westerns and crime dramas and so a Two-For-Flinching Productions brought the heat.
“The 8th Plague” starts with a slow build like a roller coaster climbing the big hill. Once over the top it’s a no-stop gore-fest that will test the best. DJ’s final couple scenes are powerful including one act of self-mutilation that has been highly talked about in horror circles.
Rumor has it that Perry is now talking with Two-For-Flinching and producer Richard Finney about reprising his role as Mason in a prequel that shows audiences the chaos that took place at the prison prior to the movie “The 8th Plague.” Perry said, “The new script really takes the best of 8th Plague and amps it way up.”
If the new release does well a prequel may soon follow. So let the axe sharpening begin. The film also stars sexy co-stars Leslie Ann Valenza, Hollis Zemany and Syn DeVil. Terry Jernigan, Charles Edwin Powell, Jonathan Rockett and Nitin Adsul round out the male cast.
Cinematographer/Producer J. Michael Whalen is also on the commentary for the 8th Plague Special Edition!!

Okay I saw DJ Perry in a kinda good monster (kinda) flick "In the Woods" in which he did okay but the story blew! Sorry! But he totally rocked in this film. Bloody kick ass! One of the best ax swingers. I can't wait to see what next.
