ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (AP) — School officials at two suburban districts northwest of Chicago are expecting major bloodshed at their campuses next month — but they’re not alarmed.
The gore will be fake; part of a visit by razor-fingered Freddy Krueger for a remake of the classic horror movie, ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street.’
Elk Grove High School Principal Nancy Holman says her school and Hersey High School in Arlington Heights have been chosen by New Line Cinema as locations for the remake.
Filming begins May 5 in Chicago with Jackie Earle Haley playing Freddy.
