Vampire-Con is pleased to announce a Sunday, August 16th performance by underground vaudeville-cirque performance group The Lucent Dossier Experience during Vampirella’s Ball on Sunday, August 16th, and partnership with Dark Delicacies, LA’s world-renowned horror bookstore.

Surreal, theatrical and absurd, the Lucent Dossier Experience has been called “a far superior take on circus” by The Washington Post and “a burst of energy & sexual tension” by Spin Magazine.  Lucent Dossier was a hit at Coachella Art & Music Festival, was featured in Panic! At the Disco’s video “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” and at its core is a playground for the innovative genius child in all of us. 

Dark Delicacies, a local indie bookshop located in Burbank, is world-renowned for its singular dedication to horror. Started by Del and Sue Howison in 1994, the shop’s fantastic selection of media, jewelry, clothes, gifts and endeavors into publishing (with several anthologies of stories and a series of comic books bearing the store’s name) has attracted the attention of the SciFi Channel’s SciFi Buzz, the Los Angeles Times and the New York Times. Dark Delicacies joins Vampire-Con 2009 to continue building its relationship with Los Angeles horror fans.
