Nashville, TN (08.10.09) L.A.V. pictures has released their first sneak peak trailer for the new Psychological Horror Western “Gun Town” this week.
The story takes place in a old run down western show tourist attraction, when a group of friends go for a joy ride after high school graduation. The gang runs into more than they bargained for when they meet the reclusive residents of Gun Town. It’s draw or die, as the body count piles up.
Gun Town marks the directorial debut of Lee Vervoort, who has appeared in dozens of film and television productions as an actor and stuntman. Vervoort also stars in the movie alongside a talented cast of fresh faces including Andy Grace. Grace, who is in reality was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and is limited to a wheelchair and walking canes was brought to the attention of Vervoort who wrote the script specifically for the young actor, who had always hoped to appear in a movie.
Gun Town was shot on location in Hopkinsville, KY at Copper Canyon Ranch where owners Tim & Carol Emery still conduct western shows to live audiences year round. The film recently wrapped production, and is set to premiere in the late fall of 2009, theatrically on the film festival circuit, as well as on DVD.
