OK, so here is this little story I got in my Inbox the other day….
Two crazy young women with a love for Horror who just happened to have the same class realized on the first day of fall semester 2009 that their college has all the resources present to have a film fest.
Its just that no one uses them. Cut to now. Somehow they managed to gain a few humble sponsors, support, and a venue.
We went out of our way to make this event free for all who show up! There will be giveaways for the people that attend and prizes for the students that participate.
So here is the Details:
West Los Angeles College is having its first free on campus horror film festival, Horror Fest at West, to promote awareness of campus resources in arts, cinema, and multimedia.
Scary feature movie, student shorts, costume contest, giveaways, special guest Q & A and more! Taking place on October 30, the night before Halloween (also known as mischief night) in the Fine Arts Theater from 6:00pm to 9:00 pm. At the end of the event there will be a networking reception in the courtyard adjacent to the theater.
Please note that while Horror Fest at West is free, on campus parking is $2.00.
