Hocus Focus Productions to Premiere Movie with Online Simulcast

Independent film company, Hocus Focus Productions, is premiering its latest feature film, “Stopped Dead” on February 16, 2010, in Orlando, Florida. At the same time, the movie will be presented online.

Orlando, FL, – A new low budget feature starring Debbie Rochon and an ensemble cast is about to be released and the movie is premiering at a local pub in Orlando, FL. The Best of British Pub on International Drive has provided a free venue with a big screen and sound system so local filmmaker, Jason L. Liquori, can present his film, “Stopped Dead”, to the cast and crew along with their friends and families. “I like to keep these events free,” , Liquori says. “Everyone involved worked really hard to make this movie happen and I don’t want them to feel they can’t invite people to the screening because of a ticket price or cover charge. Best of British is making it possible for us to do it this way.”

Local screenings of independent movies aren’t unusual, but this one has a twist. At the same time the movie is being shown live in Orlando it will be available for viewing over the internet. “Since much of my family is still up in New York and some of our actors will be out of town on other projects I wanted to give them a way to see the movie at the same time as us,” Liquori explains.

Currently the movie is loaded onto YouTube and set as private. It will be made “public” shortly before the 9 PM screening on February 16. Links will be posted on FaceBook and MySpace (myspace.com/stoppeddead) and if possible an embedded version will be available at www.hocfocprod.com/stoppeddead . The movie will be free to view and available until midnight. The short film, “Alien Vengeance: A Night Alone” and the trailer for “Alien Vengeance”, a new feature from Hocus Focus Productions which is in post production now, will also be available online that night and they will be making their public debut at the Premiere event.
