MovieScreams

Where “Tales From the Crypt” meets “The Twilight Zone” with director Roosevelt Samarie L playing the role of the Cryptkeeper.

Comcast is set to debut its highly anticipated web series and cable television show “MovieScreams”, Horror Show online.   Though the show relies on cheesy characters and inane dialogue, this new horror series is undeniably irresistible.

MovieScreams, feels like a combination of Tales from the Crypt and a film out of the 1990s gory-horror genre like “Scream” (1996) and “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (1997).  MovieScreams, is a provocative, horror anthology series set to push the boundaries of this classic genre.

The series is hosted by Roosevelt Samarie L., who introduces each film and concludes each episode.  In Episode one, Roosevelt must save a blind vampire from a runaway taco truck driven by a one arm monkey.  The show stands out from its competition because it features a level of gore usually seen only in R-rated films. “MovieScreams”, Horror Show might not be thought-provoking, but it is definitely more entertaining than most of what’s on television.

MOVIESCREAMS is directed and produced by Roosevelt Samarie L.  The show is currently slated to run Online as a Web-series and regionally on Comcast Cable station’s People TV channel 24 in Atlanta, GA.  For more information about MovieScreams, visit its official site.
