Rage – Midsummer’s Eve News

Hot off the press comes the latest news about the upcoming, American horror film, Rage – Midsummer’s Eve which will begin its principal shooting in Helsinki, Finland and near the Finnish Arctic Circle in July.

The film hosts a cast of highly experienced actors, with over ten years of professional acting, as well as new and fresh talents who have already gained a lot of global attention. The cast have been featured in such films as ‘Farewell’ (starring Willem Dafoe and Diane Kruger), British upcoming comedy ‘The Knot’ (starring Mena Suvari and Bafta –winner Noel Clarke) and ‘Twenty8k’ (starring Bend it like Beckham and ER starlet Parminder Nagra and Tony -awarded Stephen Dillane).

The main cast of the film Rage – Midsummer’s Eve is:

Holly Georgia Character:
Hannah Hannah is played by an English actress, Holly Georgia. Graduated as an Actress from the Bretton Hall / University of Leeds in 2006. She has then become one of the most promising young actresses in the UK starring in several short films, theatre pieces and commercials. Ms. Georgia has also made an appereance in the 2006 Bollywood blockbuster ‘Namaste London’.

Johnny Sachon Character:
Aron Jonathan “Johnny” Sachon was born in England. After graduating from the musical theater department of Guildford School of Acting he has played several roles in short films and British feature films. Johnny is a terrific Street and Break -dancer and has a strong background in music theatre.

Greta Mandelin Character:
Jenni Finnish born actress, Greta Mandelin is playing the role of Jenni – the best friend of Hannah. Greta Mandelin was born in Finland where she studied to become a dancer. After years of working as a dancer in Finland, Ms. Mandelin moved to London to study acting where she now lives and works. She has previously been seen in short films and smaller roles in television and she can also be spotted in the British film, Street Dance 3D and the upcoming summer blockbuster film, Marvel Productions Captain America.

Christian Sandström Character:
Jussi Christian Sandstrom has in over his 15 years of professional acting been seen as the leading parts as well as co-starring in several motion pictures, TV-series and theatre plays. Christian has also been participating in TV-series and features outside of Scandinavia. In France the French movie director Christian Carion released “Farewell” (Láffaire Farewell). In this feature Christian can be seen as a FBI agent amongst such stars as Willem Dafoe and Diane Kruger. He has also been seen in such TV-series as “Border of despair” with Veronica Ferres (Die frau vom Checkpoint Charlie). Before joining the cast of ‘Rage’, Christian’s latest work was in the independent movie Sanansaattaja (The Messenger) which was released on DVD in 2010.

Michael Vardian Character:
Kimi Born as Mikko Tapani Vartiainen in Helsinki, Finland in 1979 Vardian has worked as a professional actor in theatre, television, movies, commercials and also doing voice over’s ever since he graduated at the age of 21. He has studied acting in Finland, in the international research and training center of acting skills and also in New York and in Los Angeles. Vardian has just completed a few shooting days for the upcoming comedy feature The Knot starring Mena Suvari and Noel Clarke as well as a scene with Stephen Dillane (The Hours, Spygames) for the film Twenty8k starring the ER and Bend it like Beckham starlet Parminder Nagra.

Rage – Midsummer’s Eve set in the Arctic Circle during Midsummer’s Eve when the night never sets, will be shot entirely in Finland, Northern Europe during July and August 2011. The film is expected to have its world premiere in 2012.

  1. I believe this is going to be awesome. Cute guys too, please do not kill them in the film :) Hope to see this film on many festivals too – not just commercially out in the theaters, dvd, so one can meet the cast etc.
