Freddy has gotten his due countless times over on the convention circuit in recent years. Jason has also been trotted out quite a bit from coast to coast in reunion after reunion of the Crystal Lake franchise. When DAYS OF THE DEAD III returns to Indianapolis, IN, July 6-8th, 2012, another horror icon will get his just due in a reunion that promises to show horror fans why “You Don’t Mess With Texas!”
In what is planned to be a massive celebration of one of the greatest horror franchises of all time, DAYS OF THE DEAD III will pay homage to none other than the TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE series when DAYS OF THE DEAD returns to it’s flagship city of Indianapolis, IN this summer. And what better way to kick off said reunion but with three of the actors to play the notorious villain and one new comer who will be portraying him in the upcoming latest installment in the series?
Added to DAYS OF THE DEAD III are veteran boogeyemn GUNNAR HANSEN (Texas Chainsaw Massacre ’74), BILL JOHNSON (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), and R.A. MIHAILOFF (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3), each of whom have worn the mask of human flesh and wielded the chainsaw as Leatherface in one of the serieses first three films each. Also joining them will be newcomer SAM MCKINZIE, who will be portraying “young Leatherface” in the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, due out late next year.
DAYS OF THE DEAD III is just getting started, so expect to see MANY more names added to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series reunion in progress, along with many, many other stars from other corners of the horror genre.
