Jonathan Moody is always hard at work on new short horror films. I’ve covered a lot of his work recently including Echo Lake and the anthology film, Scream Queen Campfire. One film that had fallen mostly under my radar, Trick or Eat, was another horror anthology that Moody was working on. He had even released one of the vignettes, a short called Valentine’s Prey starring DeVanny Pinn. There hasn’t been a lot of talk about Trick or Eat in a while, except for several questions that I asked Jonathan back in June. You can click here to read the interview. Recently, Jonathan Moody made a status update on the Trick or Eat Facebook page telling subscribers to keep a look out for an important update.
Well, that important update has arrived! It would appear that Trick or Eat will be going forth under a new name – Scary Story Slumber Party. The original Trick or Eat IMDB page will be converted to the new name and the addition of a new piece of the film, Noise Complaint, will be added to the page. Scary Story Slumber Party is summarized as – “5 friends gather together during their winter break from college to throw an old fashion Slumber Party like they did in the old days. They begin to tell each other scary stories to liven up the fun. But the fun is leading to something a bit more sinister. From the creator of the upcoming film Scream Queen Campfire comes Scary Story Slumber Party.” The Facebook page for the film says it will be out in 2012…and I cannot wait!
