Cool thing about The Darkest Hour – this week at The Box Office it remains at the same spot as last week with almost the same amount of money earned. It’s still the top horror/scifi film, but with The Devil Inside coming out this week, it won’t stay that way for long. Looks like Contagion falls off the chart and Paranormal Activity 3 re-enters somehow.
9 9 The Darkest Hour $6,591,000 (Total: $15,566,000)
14 13 Twilight/Breaking Dawn 1 $3,473,000 (Total: $276,943,000)
24 25 Real Steel $400,000 (Total: $84,652,000)
36 45 Paranormal Activity 3 $89,000 (Total: $104,028,000)
As far as the DVD Top 30 Chart goes, nothing really new or interesting. I do have bonus numbers for the Fright Night remake and Scream 4 since they are off the chart.
9 5 Harry Potter/Hallows 2 $3,304,000 (Total: $86,895,000)
11 7 Cowboys & Aliens $2,577,000 (Total: $15,403,000)
15 21 Super 8 $1,800,000 (Total: $13,497,000)
19 14 Pirates/Stranger Tides $1,133,000 (Total: $18,116,000)
25 18 Transformers/Moon $758,000 (Total: $44,757,000)
26 10 Harry Potter/Hallows 1 $595,000 (Total: $85,845,000)
N/A Fright Night N/A (Total: $2,012,000)
N/A Scream 4 N/A (Total: $3,618,000)
This week the television airwaves are stuffed full with reruns; so much so that I actually labeled what is a rerun and what is a new episode.
