Horror Sales: another very slow week

Box office numbers, DVD sales, and television viewership for week of March 20th to March 26, 2012.

Silent House is the only horror or scifi film to make any money this weekend. Ugh, the box office needs a breath of dead air to get some more interest in the genre out there.

17 12 Silent House $873,000 (Total: $12,195,000)

26 20 Chronicle $298,000 (Total: $63,625,000)

29 30 The Woman In Black $252,000 (Total: $53,792,000)

47 27 Gone $102,000 (Total: $11,552,000)

Still no new or interesting activity at the DVD Top 30 Chart. Sigh…

10 9 Twilight/Dawn 1 $2,276,000 (Total: $87,054,000)

25 22 Real Steel $517,000 (Total: $22,791,000)

Alcatraz saw its two-part season finale this week. Grimm didn’t have a new episode for a second week in a row. Fringe hits a series low. Monster Man continues to sink in viewers; a season two looks doubtful at this point. Give it a watch, people. It is a cool look behind the scenes of movie monsters.

Once Upon A Time – 8,670,000

Alcatraz 1 – 4,710,000

Alcatraz 2 – 4,740,000

Grimm (rerun) – 3,340,000

Fringe – 2,880,000

The Vampire Diaries – 2,360,000

Merlin – 1,585,000

Supernatural – 1,570,000

The Secret Circle – 1,340,000

Being Human – 1,253,000

Lost Girl – 1,077,000

Monster Man – 610,000
