Ray Wise & Clare Kramer star in Mega Spider

For those of you who watched SyFy’s “Monster Man,” did you ever wonder which movie the spider on the bed scene was filmed for? Well, here you go!

SyFy original Mega Spider – the next step in giant monster madness! In Mega Spider, “a giant alien spider escapes from a military lab and rampages the city of Los Angeles. When a massive military strike fails, it is up to a team of scientists and one clever exterminator to kill the creature before the city is destroyed.” Don’t you just love how – in these creature features – the military is virtually useless yet an average exterminator can get the job done?

Mega Spider will star Ray Wise (RoboCop, Twin Peaks), Clare Kramer (“Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” Bring It On), Greg Grunberg (“Heroes,” Hollow Man), Lin Shaye (A Nightmare On Elm Street, Insidious), Patrick Bauchau (The Cell, Panic Room), Lombardo Boyar (“Over There,” “The Bernie Mac Show,) and a cameo by Lloyd Kaufman. What a terrific cast for something like…this. Mega Spider is written by Gregory Gieras (Dark Island) and directed by Mike Mendez (The Covenant, The Gravedancers).

I assume this film will premiere on SyFy Channel eventually, and I will let you know when that time comes.
