It was almost a year ago that I was able to view a three minute clip of Plan 9, the Plan 9 From Outer Space remake. After that, everything kind of got quiet, but recently Johnny Johnson and the team at Darkstone Entertainment stepped up their game and finished Plan 9. This remake is expected to have several screenings at the end of the month, but more on that later.
Plan 9 From Outer space, the horror-scifi feature from 1959 dubbed one of the worst movies ever, focuses on aliens who re-animated the dead to try and wipe out the humans of Earth. Based on what I’ve seen of Plan 9 already, I can wager a sincere guess that Johnson’s remake of the Edward Wood cult classic will be one of the top indie horror flicks of 2013. Yes, the preview I saw was that good.
With all this in mind, let me share with you some of the cast members who appear in Plan 9. First we have Camille Keaton, who played the title character in the 70s rape-revenge thriller I Spit On Your Grave. Secondly we have Brian Krause the Blue Lagoon and Sleepwalker star turned television hero in “Charmed.” Next we have scream queen Monique Dupree and one of “The Walking Dead’s” favorite zombies Addy Miller. The cast is rounded out by Mister Lobo, Matthew Ewald, James D. Rolfe (“The Angry Video Game Nerd”), Angela Pritchet (Porkchop II), and Conrad Brooks – the only surviving cast member of the original film.
