2007 – Mala Powers, who starred in the films “Unknown Terror,” “The Colossus of New York” and “Doomsday Machine,” passed away at the age of 75.

2005 – Robert Clarke, who wrote, produced, directed and starred in “The Hideous Sun Demon,” passed away at the age of 85. He also starred in “The Astounding She Monster,” “The Man From Planet X” and “The Body Snatcher” with Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff,.

2003 – William Marshall, who played the title role in “Blacula” and “Scream, Blacula, Scream,” passed away at the age of 78. He also co-starred in “Abby” and “Dinosaur Valley Girls.”

1999 – “Dr. Leonard ‘Bones’ McCoy” himself, DeForest Kelley, passed away at the age of 79.

1996 – Brigitte Helm who played “Maria/The Robotrix” in Forrest Ackerman’s favorite movie,” Metropolis,” passed away at the age of 88.

1966 – Perennial character actor Wallace Ford, who appeared in the films “The Mummy’s Hand,” ” Freaks” “The Ape Man” and “The Mummy’s Tomb,” passed away at the age of 68.

1956 – Ralph Morgan who appeared in the films “The Monster and the Ape,” “The Creeper” and “Weird Woman,” passed away at the age of 73.

1936 – Robert E. Howard who created “Conan the Barbarian,” passed away at the age of 30. He took his own life at his mother’s deathbed.
