The Trailer Park Boys is a show that is hard to just watch one episode of or just one movie.  When you start watching TPB you can expect to binge watch several episodes and movies before you finally call it a day.  When Christmas was approaching I decided it was time to check out the TPB Christmas specials and review them.

Well it was only fitting that I checked out their new movie and a special that I had missed somehow.  After I watched the movie, Don’t Legalize It, I decided it was time to check out the special Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys.  The special was meant to be a final episode of the show, but as you can tell, did not end with this one.

**Spoiler Alert**The special picks up one year after the train heist and Julian has been keeping the cash safe.  However, the caveman himself, Sam, discovers that Julian is keeping the cash and robs him.  A car chase follows where Sam is arrested and the cash is lost forever.

Ricky and Bubbles then becomes pissed at Julian and this forces him to try and find a way to make it right for the both of them.  He tries to get the boys money while having to deal with Lahey and Randy who are constantly trying to kick them out of the trailer park.**Spoiler Alert**

The Trailer Park Boys is a series that I can watch over and over again even though they tend to give us the same story and jokes over and over again.  They always change it up a bit but they rarely step into new territory.  Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys in no exception but without the scope of the films.  This special is just an extended episode that doesn’t give the fans and viewers nothing different.

The acting in this one is great.  The cast easily get into character which is the main reason people watch Trailer Park Boys.  The characters are amazing and easy to love.  The story for this one is one that TPB has done so many times and this time the special was done exactly like the television show.  We did get a few jokes here and there but the special was a little boring and offered the fans nothing new.  This special just feels thrown together.

Finally, the film does have some laughs but nothing new or ones that are as funny as what we have become accustomed to when you usually watch TPB.  Overall, Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys is a decent special for TPB but is a bit of a let down if you are looking for new TPB material.  It has some laughs but uses recycled material.  Check it out if you are a die-hard fan!
