Turn around… Bright eyes?
This one was sent to me via Twitter and of course I had to check out and share a short film with the warning, “Contains strong language and horror themes from the start.” Now that I think of it, that’s more of a welcome than a warning! So, without further ado here’s Turn Around When Possible.
Turn Around When Possible comes in at just over seven minutes long and is written and directed by Dave Calub and David Mead with Ian Mead. The David’s also produced this film along with Ed Beck and Megan Prescott. Having been shot in the UK, the story follows, “two girls who are driving on a wooded road, lost amongst the endless forest, until the road finally runs out. Strange noises surround them, the ferns begin to move, something is closing in… They are not alone in these woods.”
I hope this one wasn’t just uploaded to YouTube, where it’ll stay for many years. With excellent cinematography, competent actors, military enforcers, and a cool looking monster, this definitely deserves to be in film festivals so people can see it in a theater. I think it would do well in that circuit.
