ChicagoWe are thrilled to announce another Women of Horror Film Festival in May… Women of Horror 2. Official Facebook Event Page Here With each festival we try to bring a new and different theme into the movie theater, and once again it’s Lady’s Night! Horror Society will feature films directed, produced, or written by women. Saturday MAY 1st ONLY $12 for over 8 hours of BLOODY GOOD FUN! Grab your tickets online and save! Only $10 online! Flagship merchant services are not charged separately! Buy them now!
![]() Our goal for this festival is to show the female side of the horror genre in a way that most of the horror fans are not familiar with. Many studios and companies need to stay away from this point of view because it does not attract the audience they are looking for. To us that is a shame. There are so many female directors doing indie horror now without the recognition they need and deserve. This is our chance to show those women that are making these types of films. ————————————————- LINEUP SO FAR… SNUFF GARGALESE DONT LOSE HEART ALICE JACOBS IS DEAD I SPIT ON ELI ROTH HEADING HOME MOVIE MONSTER INSURANCE BODY OF WORK TRIPPIN’ NEAR DARK (35mm) THE FOG (35mm) Various Local Trailers and a GRINDHOUSE/EXPLOITATION compilation Cult Movie fans will love!!

More Coming Soon…. ————————————————- ————————————————- KREEPYLADY KRISTIN SILENT AUCTION AND RAFFLE: Last year we did a raffle for The Lynn Sage Foundation of Chicago. We ended up raising a lot of money for the organization, and we are planning something else for this one. This year we are doing a raffle and silent auction for our good friend Kreepylady Kristin. She recently came upon some real rough times, losing her job, massive amounts of surgery from a life threatening condition, and now racked up a HUGE amount of medical bills. Without her insurance, (the company she worked for over 9 years let her go), she is facing a huge uphill battle and struggling to pay off those bills. She has been through months of medical rehab and we are planning on helping her out! She has played a huge role in the Chicago Horror Community and with Horror Society as well, so we have gathered up some great items for the raffle and auction. All proceeds of this raffle and auction will be going directly to her medical bills. You horror freaks are going to love some of the products we have for you to bid on, and this will be a great help to her and her family as well. More info on Kristin here…. http://www.horrorsociety.com/PDF/benifit.pdf ————————————————- SILENT AUCTION ITEMS: 27 1/2 x 41 Spanish Creepshow Poster Signed by George Romero and more on the way….. A $5 raffle ticket gets you a chance to win plenty of DVDs, posters, gift cards, gift certificates, and more to raffle off as well. We will also have items available from Hollywood Mirror to give out: Use the code ZOMBIE in the banner and save 15%! ————————————————- VENDORS: Devi Snively and Cast Svengirlie Kitley’s Krypt Ken Carrano Zombie Rights Deadman’s Wake Turntabling.net Freelance Zone Chateau Grrr Natasha Blue G.Edwin Taylor Gothic Art Chicago Alan Rehbein Another Heaven Ravyn’s Castle John Borowski Charles Moisant Cyphan Convention We are still looking for vendors for this festival.
