Synopsis: This is a remake of the Romero classic. When the dead rise to devour the living, a misfit group of survivors take refuge in a shopping mall. Can they get past their fears and mistrust and survive, or will their differences be their downfall?
Roy: This may be blasphemy, but this is a case where the remake may be better than the original. This movie is faster paced, the zombies are no longer just slow moving hulks. Some of them are lightning-fast killing machines. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. Relentless. I feel it will become a classic in it’s own right.
Tommy: I agree with Roy. This one is better than the original. The pace is relentless and the gore rivals the original. In some cases remakes are pointless, this one was a homerun. The basic story is the same but many changes were made throughout the film. This is Zack Snyder’s directorial debut and he struck gold. Some notable cameos were Tom Savini, Ken Foree, & MTV’s Iann Robinson. Highly, highly recommended.

Thanks for this review from Roy and Tommy of Living Dead Reviews!!
I gotta agree with you, the remake blows the original away. This time the zombies really are terrifying.
Cant wait to see Snyder's next film, 300.
